Claude, another year passes by but your memory lives on in all your family and friends - being the legend you are, these memories will never die. I first met you as a kid playing soccer with Clive Napier in Albert Park, then playing baseball against you when I first started the game for Ian Vermaaks Sports, then for Marist. In 1977, after hitch hiking through Europe for 12 months with Di, you were promoted to Sales Manger of Electrocol giving me a repping job on my return. Obviously, as such, I joined Vikings Baseball Club playing alongside you. You were a great mentor for me in my career in the furniture trade which lasted 20 years before Di, Gemma, and I emigrated to England. We lost touch after you and Ingrud emigrated to Canada, but in 2012 Gemma got married and my niece hooked me up to Facebook to share her special day - I am so thankful for that as I then received a friend request from Ingrid who then informed me of the very sad and tragic news of your passing. I am still in regular contact with Ingrid which helps relive and keep memories in all of us forever. Claude, you are a legend to so many of us - rest in peace, my son!!😇😇😇
This candle went out on 13th May 2020.
